Poly Canyon Village Opening

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Cal Poly President Warren J. Baker officially opened the first phase of the new Poly Canyon Village student housing complex Aug. 19, 2008. More than 1,500 students moved in to the complex at the start of Fall Quarter.

Poly Canyon Village Details

When the project's second phase is completed in 2009, the Poly Canyon Village will offer 615 apartments with 2,661 beds, as well as 1,926 parking spaces and 11, 255 square feet of retail space.

The new student housing complex is LEED-certified for it's environmentally-friendly design and construction.

When Poly Canyon Village is completed, the university will offer some 6, 200 beds in on-campus student housing. That will make Cal Poly's student housing program the largest in the 23-campus California State University System.
