FAQs

The Networking Naturally Program includes three teleseminars:

  • October 27: Avoid Common Traps in Networking
  • November 3: Create Meaningful Conversations and Develop Lasting Connections
  • Nov. 10 : In-Person Online Networking, Put It All Together

What is a teleseminar?

A live audio presentation. There is no visual part of the presentation. Listeners can join the live event in two ways:

  • Using a phone, with long distance charges applying, to call a bridge line
  • Using a computer with Internet access and speakers. If you use a computer, you will be directed to a "webcast" page that allows you to listen to the presentation over the Internet for free. The webcast page will also provide capability to ask questions online while the presentation is occurring.

When will I receive the bridge line phone number and webcast link?
Upon completion of your registration, you will receive a confirmation with the bridge line phone number. A few days before each teleseminar, you will receive an e-mail with additional information for attending via the phone or the Internet.

If I can't make the session that I signed up for (mid-day vs. evening), can I attend the other session?
Yes, if you are unable to attend a teleseminar at your assigned time, you can attend at the other time that teleseminar is offered. The dial-in number will remain the same.

Will each teleseminar be recorded and replayed?
Yes, a replay link will be available to all registered participants within one hour of each program's completion. An MP3 recording will also be available for downloading.

About the Presenter:

Carol Ross is a former Bell Labs engineer, turned career coach and social entrepreneur. Over the course of her career, spanning nearly two decades in technology companies and six years as a small business owner, Carol has used networking to take charge of her destiny and create opportunities where none seemed to exist. Through networking, Carol has gotten higher paying and better fitting jobs within weeks of leaving a job, connected with business decision makers that led to six-month consulting gigs, and developed a distinctive brand within the coaching industry. Networking has also resulted in invitations to speak at national conferences and to provide advice for a New York Times career column. Finally, networking has helped Carol make major career transitions with relative ease--from working as an engineer to running a successful coaching practice to building a company and community in support of social entrepreneurs.
