PolyLink Mentoring Group Aims to Link Alumni, Current Seniors

SAN LUIS OBISPO -- Now is the time to join the PolyLink Mentoring Group.
 
More than 1,200 of PolyLink's 13,000 alumni members have already indicated on their personal pages that they're willing to mentor other alums and students informally in PolyLink, Cal Poly's free private social network for alumni.

The new PolyLink Mentoring Group is the place to do it.

In September 2009, current Cal Poly seniors will be invited into PolyLink for the first time ever. And every fall, the next class of Cal Poly seniors will be invited into PolyLink.

That means some 4,000 current Cal Poly students will join alumni in PolyLink every fall. And plenty of them will be looking for mentors and career connections.

The PolyLink Mentoring Group will be the quickest  and easiest place to browse for mentors (and mentees) for informal online e-mentoring. It's open to all 13,000 PolyLink alumni - and current seniors.

Mentors: Expect to provide advice and career tips to fellow Mustangs.

Mentees: Expect to get advice and career tips from fellow Mustangs -- not direct job offers. (But getting to know people in your career field is always good for your career!)
