| NewsNEW PolyLink Groups: Find Everyone in Your Major Check out the NEW and vastly improved PolyLink Groups -- launched in May 2009. PolyLink has already created 'groups' for all majors -- see all members in your major, their class notes, and where they live now (at the zip code level -- no stalking worries). You can always unsubscribe from your "major" group -- and then rejoin -- any time. In PolyLink groups, members can instantly upload photos, leave notes, see all other members and their info, add links, start discussions, add events and invite alumni friends to join. Only PolyLink alumni can get in to see PolyLink alumni personal pages and use the PolyLink classmates database to find old friends. And only PolyLink alumni get in to see the private job boards.
Monthly job postings usually number between 150 and 200 - and are all from employers looking specifically for Cal Poly alumni and recent grads. Get into PolyLink today at www.calpolylink.com.

The occasion was Boland's June 2008 graduation from Cal Poly (M.A. in Biology).
Shaffer minored in water science and agricultural policy and now works with an international consulting firm in Ft. Collins, Colo. She works with GIS mapping software to create resource and environmental impact maps necessary for permitting large developments.
And she volunteers for the Sierra Club and teaches horseback riding in her spare time.
